Updated Skin Care: Avène Cleanance K

I went to the mall yesterday and just wanted to get the Avène Eau Thermal, but I noticed at the counter, there was Cleanance K that I've been wanting to try. And I know this is kind of stupid, but I did notice that it is for oily skin, blemish-prone. I have a very very dry skin, but I also have hormonal acnes and massive blemishes here and there on my face. So I was kind of like, "Well, since this is hypoallergenic, I guess this wouldn't hurt."

So, I finally got it and tried right away when I got home. After I washed my face clean, I tried it and left it overnight. This morning I woke up and found that my acnes are not-so-red anymore and my blemishes are starting to fade. Eventhough it doesn't really give me enough dose of moisture, but it really does the job on my acnes and blemishes.

One more thing I love about this, is that it says it purifies, exfoliates and hydrates. Pretty tempting, huh? I feel I just really have to try it. And I combine it with the facial spray, as well. The result is quite fabulous indeed.

It is kind of pricey, but you won't regret it because it hits right on the target. I really love this, but still need the right dose of moisture.

Fall/Winter 2011 Wishlist

So, let me get this straight first. We don't actually have 4 seasons here in my country, but it's just to explain my wishlist for this fashion cycle. Let's get started.

First one is, NARS lipgloss in 'Orgasm'.This is my first time of using NARS, so I'm kind of new to the product itself. But I've seen a lot of reviews and kind of interested in the 'Orgasm' collection. They contain such pretty natural pink colors. I've ordered the lipgloss and it should be here soon, hopefully.

Next up is, Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in 'Powder Pink'.
The first time I saw this product is in one of Lisa Eldridge's video tutorial for the 'No Make Up' look. I think the color is really gorgeous and so natural, plus it does two jobs, for lips and cheeks.

A blue-ish purple eyeshadow... Yummy!

I love this look, but can't find any credits for this one. I searched this kind of shade and came in conclusion for two products.
The one on the left is M.A.C in 'Parfait Amour' and the right one is NARS in 'Daphne'. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, the look wouldn't be complete without extra pop of colour on the nails. Here are some of gorgeous colours, perfect for Fall/Winter.

Well, I just realized they're all from Chanel. Dark metalic shades are going to be a big hit this Fall/Winter 2011. My favorite two are the ' Black Pearl' and 'Blue Satin'.

Underneath all those make up should lie a healthy, glowing skin. The skin is likely to get dehydrated and cracked because of the freezing winter weather. So, to keep the glowing skin alive, you need super gentle and moisturizing skin care products, because when your skin is dehydrated, it is become more sensitive because germs can get in easily between the gaps of the cracked flaky skin.

I use Avène Eau Thermal for sensitive skin. I've been using the facial spray for about a year now and I love it. And am going to try out the dehydrated skin care product, Hydrance.
I have found the official distributor office here in Indonesia, but it's kind of far from where I live and haven't get the time to go. But luckily, I have contact one of the person from Avène Indonesia and she recommended this to me, according to my skin condition that is extremely dehydrated. So, hopefully I'll have time to go soon. I think this is a great one, because it's dermatologists' recommended and plus, it has SPF 25.

I really love all of these products, but my priority for now is my skin. I need to save it from this annoying condition. Everybody wants a great skin, who doesn't, right?

Nice Dresses Don't Have Nice Price

I've been checking out some online shopping sites, like Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, H&M, Forever New and other kinds. And surprisingly, fell in love with most of the dresses. They are gorgeous dresses and really the kind of dress I wouldn't regret buying, but on the other hand, they are too pricey.

Here are some dresses that I completely fell in love with, but sadly not with the price...
Ribbed Heart Back Prom Dress by TOPSHOP for slightly $110. This one is with thicker fabric and will look chic simply with black heels. The highlight of this dress is of course, the heart-shaped back.
Here's the one with spots and different fabric. This baby is $120. I can imagine wearing this with sheer black tights, a pair of beige platform and a touch of vintage 60s make up.
One Shoulder Corsage Dress from The Age of Innocence" collection by Forever New for $199,99 (Australian note). I don't know why I want this as my wedding dress, but I think it's really pretty.
This dress is by H&M and I think this one is pretty affordable, it's $59,55. What a catch! But what I'm not really sure about this baby is that it shows too much cleavage. I think it'd look tacky if you wear something under it. The dress is stunning to wear alone itself, with again, sleek black heels.
And this lacey vintage dress is called "Highlight of My Night" dress by ModCloth. You can get it online on modcloth.com for $44,99. Pretty affordable and such a unique dress, indeed. It's hard to find a good vintage-looking dresses, especially here in my country. This is a real deal, sister.
Another cute dress from TOPSHOP. This one is also pretty affordable, $60. I think it's really sweet and cute, probably will look cute with a simple ballet flats and a vintage sling bag, or maybe with a retro straw hat. It's really nice for a walk around la tour d'Eiffel on a bright summer day.

So, those are some of my selections of dresses, casual and formal. They are gorgeous and I love it. But then again, they are still a little bit out of my league. Hopefully, the companies mentioned would have reductions by the end of the season. Amen.

A Quick Hello (August Favourites 2011)

It's been quite a long time since my last post, and am feeling kinf of tired of making sad posts. I've been into beauty and fashion quite so much lately, so I think it would be a great idea to start more beauty and fashion related posts. Even though nobody reads this blog, other than my curious boyfriend. He's very appreciative and am glad to know that.
Well, I just want to say a quick "Hello!", probably to whoever, somehow casted away to this blog, and of course, "Hi sweetheart!" to my boyfriend, who might read this post in a jiffy.
So, let's just jump to the beauty products, or mixed up with some other random things, that has been my favourite for these past months.

The first one, is... Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer Gel (Gel hydratant tellement différent)

I just bought this today, and tried it right away and completely fell in love with it. I love the consistency, it's very light, but still gives you that nice moisturized feeling to your skin and it doesn't leave that greasy feeling after of a few hours of using. I think it's a perfect moisturizer to wear under your everyday make-up, and plus, it doesn't make your T area looking oily and shiny, at all. But, one thing about this product is that it's supposed to be for oily skin, but I found that the lotion one is a little bit too haevy and left your face greasy, espeacially on the T area, so I kind of like the gel way better.

And the second... M.A.C Paint Pot (Peintures) in Bare Study. This is a love.

Been watching tons of review of this product and finally got it about a week ago now. I love this because of its consistency, it's very soft and creamy, makes it very easy to apply and to blend with complimentary colors, such as Naked Lunch or Shroom or All That Glitters. The shimmer is soft and very pretty for either day time or night time look. You can also build the color up by layering it. The color is just my favourite kind o eyeshadow color, which is like a champagne, with a bit of peachy pink undertone to it. And it doesn't crease or move, at all. J'adore ce bébé!

Next is M.A.C Plushglass in Big Baby (What an adorable name! Très chic!)

It's a dream gloss, for me, at least. It's ridicilously moisturizing and somehow, exfoliating. It's sheer, which is my kind of type of make up. The consistency is a bit sticky, but in a good way. It doesn't crease or move around out of your lip, even after a few hours hours of using. But sadly, it comes off right away after you eat or drink. But over all, love the moisturized feeling it gives. Leaves your lip soft and kissable. Oh la la...

For my everyday make up, I don't really wear liquid foundation. It's too heavy for this kind of climate and such tropical weather, like here in Indonesia, where I live. So instead of liquid foundation, I wear M.A.C Studio Fix Pressed Powder in C3...

It's like a foundation and powder in one package. It's not too sheer, but not too cakey as well. C'est parfait pour moi...

One product I'm crazy about all year is facial spray, my personal favourite is from Avène.

I use this all the time. After I wash my face, after removing make up and after applying my night cream or whenever I need to hydrate my thirsty skin. This is one thing you can always find in my purse.

I don't wear much highlight on my makeup, but this is perfect for everyday lifting. It's M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle.

It has such a sheer and soft shimmer that look very beautiful when it catches the light, makes the skin look healthy, fresh and glowing.

I adore 60s make up, especially Audrey Hepburn's white matte eyeshadow, a bit dark on the crease and her signature cat eyeliner. It's simple, but still look put together. It's not too much colours, and most of all, the cat eyeliner. But it's really hard to do it with kohl liner. So this is my new obsession, Bobbi Brown Long-wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink.

It's really pigmented and creamy, which makes it very easy to work with. Perfect for creating an elegant vintage eyeliner flick.

I have a new best friend ever and her name is M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 35. I can't imagine going out of the house without it. Mine is in C3.

I love it that it's full coverage and it covers all of my blemishes smoothly. But when I have a bad skin day, it's a little bit hard to work with, because my skin tends to get so dehydrated and kind of flaky. It doesn't cover the dry parts on my face, even after I've put on tons of moisturizer. But over all, it's a good investment.

If there is one thing I can't stress enough about, it is exfoliating lipbalm. And for me, the best exfoliating lipbalm is the from Vaseline, Petroleum Jelly. C'est très très très bien!

Beside as a lipbalm, this also heals minor cuts and protect burned wounds. And sometimes, I use this for extra moisturizer on super dry areas on my face. It reliefs chapped and dry lips, and really healed my bleeding chapped lip.

Oh! My favourite of all time. My dream perfume ever, I put this in my birthday wishlist this year and finally got it. Thanks to my aunt.

It's the scent of grace and sophistication, the legendary Chanel No. 5. I absolutely love the smell, eventhough everybody says that it smells like their grandmother. Well, I don't think so, it smells elegant and kind of spicy (I mean like strong spices smell) and a little bit musky too. Put it on your pulse points, like neck, cleavage and on your wrist.

And, yes, last but not least! Natural lip colored lipstick. Two words. Estée Lauder. It's the Crystal lipstick in Crystal Baby. Gorgeous.

Such a beautiful color for everyday makeup and for a little pick me up when you feel dead in the morning. It's soft and creamy, but it does a little bit drying, just like other kinds of lipstick.

These are the products I've been into so much for this past month. Looking for some more reviews on other great products, and maybe I'll do a haul by the end of this next September.

Bon, c'est 5h du matin. C'est le temps pour moi de dormir. Faire de beau rêves, surtout mon copin. Je t'adore, mon ange...
